How much do you charge?
At Digital Jockey, we try to help you get the most for your budget. Our prices typically range from $500 to $2500. In order to provide you with an accurate price quote, we will need to discuss your needs and wants as they relate to your event. Please contact using our current contact information. How far in advance should we book your services?
We only book one event per day in order to devote full attention to our clients. As a result, your date may not be available. We typically book events 6-8 months in advance. There have been times when we have booked events 18 months in advance or with as little as 12 hours notice. The further in advance you can retain your entertainment choice, the higher the quality of service you can expect. If you have set a date for your event, feel free to check our availability using our current contact information.
As a courtesy, we are willing to pencil you in on a future date as you consider your entertainment options. If another calls on your specific date, then we will try to contact you and offer you first priority. Ultimately, a date is reserved when a signed contract and deposit are received by Digital Jockey.

What will the DJ wear to my event?
The DJ will wear a collared shirt and tie to any formal event or a Digital Jockey polo shirt or T-shirt to any casual event. If you prefer that the DJ wear formal wear (Tuxedo for Male DJ or Formal Dress for Female DJ) to your event, then let us know and we will be dressed appropriately at no additional cost to you.

What if I can't find a song I want in the Digital Jockey music database?
If you cannot find the song that you want for your event, it may be that we have not yet indexed the song or do not own it. If you let us know before the event we will do everything to acquire the song(s) you desire at no additional cost. For assistance searching the music database or creating a playlist, please visit the music database help link on the search dialog.

Does Digital Jockey use a computer with MP3s to play dances?
The short answer: No.
The long answer: To ensure the highest quality of service, Digital Jockey has adopted cutting-edge DJ technology that allows the use of MP3s (or similar digital music file formats) without a PC. We chose this solution because PC hardware, operating system(s) and software can fail, but still wanted the flexibility and convenience that digital audio files can provide. Increased file storage capacity has allowed us to use high bit-rate digital files for optimal sound.
Our setup also allows us the flexibility to use digital audio files and CDs (Compact Discs); this flexibility allows us to acquire a wider variety of music since some songs may only be available on either CD or digital audio file format. Additionally, CDs can be used as backup during digital audio file system malfunction.

We use only professional grade equipment manufactured by the industry's top companies. Please see our photo gallery for select pictures of our equipment.

If you are not available for my event, can you recommend another DJ in Utah?
Yes. If we are not available for your event, we will still help you find a quality entertainer for your event in Utah. We would like to assist you in every way possible. We know many of the top disc jockey's in Utah and are happy to refer you to them if we are booked on your date or if their services may suit your needs better.
